My goal is to get you the best value for money. You can think of me as a “hub” for the supply of electrical goods and electronic supplies and as an extension to your purchasing department. I’m constantly researching the market for the optimum range of products and solutions. I curate all the information, specifications and training materials you’ll need to support your ongoing sales and distribution.
I set up CWA in 2017 after a long and successful career in sales for various industries, including electrical wholesale and distribution. My motivation for going freelance was the realisation that I could share my years of expertise and save you precious time and money by providing the means for you to source exactly what you need.
You could say that electrical wholesale and distribution runs in the family. My Dad was an electrical contractor, and by working with him I gained a solid grounding in the industry. I got my first job when I was 12, working on a local market stall. I quickly discovered that I had a natural talent for selling, especially when it came to finding exactly the right products for my customers. I was soon doubling or even tripling my weekly wages through the tips I made. Even at this young age I was learning a wide range of skills – including staying out of trouble! – and they’ve been the foundation of my career ever since.
After leaving school and a tour of duty in the Household Cavalry in the 1990s, I started working for a leading high street hi-fi and home entertainment business and rose from Sales Rep to Branch Manager.
Later I worked for a major joinery manufacturer in the social housing market. This gave me a much broader education about the construction trade and all its various supply chains, including complex resourcing. I then re-joined the electrical wholesale industry as a branch manager for a mainstream manufacturer before starting CWA.
I’m a fire alarm system designer accredited to BS5839 Part 1 – 2013 standards. I’m also proud to be an Accredited Agent and member of The Manufacturers’ Agents’ Association, the official trade association for professional sales agents and the only, membership owned, not for profit, Commercial Agents’ organisation in the UK and Ireland.
